“Childhood Has Changed”

with Leonard Sax on Bishop Barron Presents (April 24, 2025)

Bishop Robert Barron (Word on Fire) interviews Dr. Leonard Sax, a primary care physician and a leading expert on gender differences and effective parenting. His talks and seminars have been given around the world, alongside his numerous appearances on national and international media.

Sax’s best-selling books include Why Gender Matters (2005), Boys Adrift (2007), Girls on the Edge (2010), and The Collapse of Parenting (2015)—all volumes derived from his decades of medical practice and his ongoing visits and talks at hundreds of K-12 schools across the country.

In this interview, Sax explores the brain science that helps us better understand gender differences; the sociological evidence for gender-specific trends; and the critical role of parenting in the development of children and adolescents.

One of the deepest needs of this generation is for those adults who are both loving and authoritative—those who strike that crucial balance kindness and boundaries, mercy and justice.
